Leandro Santoro Announces Candidacy for Buenos Aires Legislative Elections

Leandro Santoro announced that he will run as a candidate for legislator for the City of Buenos Aires in the upcoming elections on May 18. He will do so through the space "Es ahora Buenos Aires," instead of Unión por la Patria. Santoro, a national deputy and leader of the PJ in Buenos Aires, expressed his concern about the situation in the city and his intention to compete for a seat in the Legislature to challenge the dominance of the PRO.

In his statements to C5N, Santoro lamented the abandonment of Buenos Aires and the lack of an effective management model. He highlighted the presence of people in homeless situations, the increase of dirtiness in the city, and the difficulty in accessing quality public education. According to him, a change is necessary to achieve a more human city with greater opportunities.

The candidate criticized the current political approach in the City of Buenos Aires, pointing out that it seems more like a fight for power than an effort to solve citizens' problems. Santoro also questioned the 17 years of management of the space led by Mauricio Macri, emphasizing the need for a significant change in the way the city is governed.

Santoro concluded his message with a call to work for a Buenos Aires that can dream big again and provide a more favorable environment for all its inhabitants.
